JOG.. RUN..
Fed up with the gym? Want to run with like minded others? Want to aim for your first race? Or Improve on your current PB? Can you run for 4 miles or more? Want to try a trial run? If so then our weekly Improver and Intermediate sessions are just what you need..
Week Night Runs:-
We offer a choice of pace group at all of our locations. Each location has its own qualified Group Leader.
Our Intermediate groups will generally cover a distance of between 5 - 7 miles. While the Improver groups will generally cover a distance of between 4 - 5 miles. For both groups our leaders will ensure that those at the back of the pack are not left behind or forced to run at a pace they struggle with. Equally those who wish to run faster or further will be given extra loops to ensure they also get a good workout.
During the dark evenings the runs are around the streets of Canterbury, Deal and Whitstable incorporating hills as well as the flat to give you a good work out. We rotate the locations of our meeting places to keep the routes as varied and interesting as possible. During daylight hours and in the lighter summer months we take our runs into the beautiful Kent countryside and surrounding footpaths.
Weekend Runs:-
We also offer longer steady runs on a Sunday morning at 9am. These are off road trail runs which allow us to enjoy the beautiful East Kent countryside even during the Winter months. These are for those wishing to increase their weekly mileage or who are training for a specific event. The group cover a distance of over 6 miles. This is normally determined on the day depending on who comes along. We can cater for those wishing to train for a half or full marathon within this group and will adjust the distance accordingly.
Membership:-
To become a member of Jelly legs, we have an annual membership fee of £20 or £34 (if you would like to become an affiliated member). We then charge £3 per session. Once you are a member of Jelly Legs you have the flexibility to run in anyone of our locations.
All members receive a club technical t-shirt or vest, advice and tuition from our qualified leaders, a club membership card which entitles you to discounts at local specialist sports retailers, member benefits we have negotiated and liability Insurance.
At all locations we offer you the opportunity to give us a try (taster session) before you commit to the annual membership fee. All we ask for is the £3 session fee and the completed membership forms on your first session. We provide a monthly programme for each area which shows the exact location of each session as can differ to keep it more varied and to give you an opportunity to run different routes within the areas.
